Speakers & Very special guests:

Bath Bayakha (Jordan):

Thought up by the team at Fluid Productions, a production house with a strong track record of TV and radio advertisements since 2004, Bath Bayakha was merely a side project that went super viral. With a very talented team doing the work behind the scenes, they’ve actually chosen to bring their comic lifestyle to the digital domain. After an 8-episode pilot, the show launch a daily series during the month of Ramadan. Over that period, their videos have gained around 3M+ views and their show is considered to be the #1 Arabic comedy online.

Fooq Al Sada (Jordan):

Launched in May of this year, Fooq Al Sada is an independant group of young Jordanians who are putting together periodical videos around local themes that concern youth and societal norms. Unlike other productions in this space, the team uses everyday equipment and little production to produce their material and have gained views that are in excess of 300K on their Youtube channel.

B+ Show (Egypt):

During the Egyptian revolution this past January, Dr. Bassem Youssef felt the need to express his opinion on what was going on. He resorted to the web and posted his first video that included critical talking points, news updates and a collection of updates that displayed media activities from the street in a very different light. He capitalized on the uprising and continues to deliver his show on a variety of topics. With over 5.7M views on his YouTube channel, his show has been picked up by a major broadcaster and now airs on TV as well.

3al 6ayir Show (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia):

Produced by U-Turn Entertainment, a company that is concentrating on online Arabic programming, 3al 6ayer (meaning “On the Fly”) introduces comic themes that are  breaking cultural barriers in a conservative Saudi society. In the form of a talk show, their content has been unique to an extent that has covered news, society, culture, and other taboos. The show has currently served around 9M views over their youtube channel and has quickly grown to mainstream status over the Arabic web.

Beyond all of the above, the content isn’t the only thing changing in this disjointed media-centric world we live in. The ways we project and display this content is different as well. LG electronics is pioneering the way in the 3D landscape. As the main supporter for this event, they will also be displaying and demonstrating the creativity and power of 3D and how it is changing the game once again. There will be surprises and new interesting things for you to discover!
